APRIL 28th, 2009: After receiving successful outcome from the first privilege card project in year 2008, Smart Reader® Worldwide Sdn Bhd, the popular homegrown brand for preschool education is back in action for the launch of the second year project with more great privileges. The privilege card launch held at Dewan Anugerah, KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital was graced by the presence of Tuan Hj. Amiruddin Satar, Senior Group General Manager of KPJ Healthcare Berhad. Also present were Dr Richard Ong, Chief Executive Officer and Dr K H Wang, Group Executive Director of Smart Reader® Worldwide, Senior Management of KPJ Healthcare Berhad, and representatives from merchant partners.
The Smart Reader Kids® and Smart Reader Kids Junior® Privilege Cards, which are given at no cost, are designed to provide exclusive identity and recognition to Smart Reader Kids® and Smart Reader Kids Junior® students. These cards also aim to acknowledge partners by engaging them in their daily lives. Smart Reader Kids® is proud to be a pioneer among child enrichment centres to provide such privileges to its students and their parents. “Designed like an identity card and shaped like a credit card, the Smart Reader Kids® and Smart Reader Kids Junior® privilege cards would teach them to feel more responsible towards their belongings as they would be carrying these valuable cards in their wallets or purses”, said Dr Richard Ong, Chief Executive Officer of Smart Reader® Worldwide Sdn Bhd. The event was officially launched by Dr Richard Ong and Dr K H Wang together with mascots, Smart and Jack adding excitement to the event. The card was then presented to 73 Smart Reader Kids® students who were present. Not only that, special performances by students from Smart Reader Kids® (Taman Setapak Indah), Smart Reader Kids® (Taman Melawati), Smart Reader Kids® (Ampang Point), and Smart Reader Kids® (Taman Bukit Indah) entertained the crowd immensely. These cards will entitle all students of Smart Reader Kids® and Smart Reader Kids Junior® to great discounts and privileges from merchant partners. Among the partners who contributed to the success of the project are Aquawalk Sdn Bhd, AXA Affin Assurance Berhad, Axezorize (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Cosmo Restaurants Sdn Bhd, Focus Point Vision Care Group, Resorts World Berhad, Kolej SRI®, KPJ Healthcare Berhad, MPH Bookstores Sdn Bhd, Secret Recipe Cakes and Café Sdn Bhd, Yamaha Music (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, and 7 Eleven (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. Certificates of Appreciation were given to these partners to value their efforts. KPJ Healthcare Berhad offers 20% discount on room rates for students and family members and 20% on any existing screening packages for students at all KPJ hospitals. The event ended with a special song presentation by students of Smart Reader Kids® (Wangsa Maju), Smart Reader Kids® (Taman Dagang) and Smart Reader Kids® (Setiawangsa) followed by refreshment for all present.
